Fairtrade Policy
Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions and local sustainability for farmers and workers in the developing world.
Campbeltown Grammar School is committed to promoting, using and selling Fairtrade products.
Our school will
- Set-up a Fairtrade School Steering Group, involving both pupils and staff.
- Learn about Fairtrade issues as part of the curriculum, in lessons and through other activities.
- Source and use Fairtrade products for school purposes wherever possible.
- Sell Fairtrade products at school events and functions.
- Promote and take action for Fairtrade in both the school and wider community.
- Organise an annual Fairtrade event.
- Aim to develop and implement new ideas annually.
- Encourage and promote the development of a Fairtrade policy within the Education Authority—in particular the School Meals Service.
- Include Fairtrade as part of the School Improvement Plan.
